West Springs Optometry is looking for an Optometric Assistant, Student Optician, or Licensed Optician to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with patients and can help throughout the clinic. A successful candidate must be detail oriented and make patient satisfaction a priority.
Responsibilities include:
- Helping patients select frames and lenses
- Taking measurements, dispensing glasses, and performing adjustments
- Reception and pre-testing of patients
- Processing and monitoring lab orders
- Following up on outstanding orders and keeping patients updated
- Contact lens orders
- Maintaining frame and product inventory
- General organization and upkeep of the dispensary
Experience with optical sales and lens products (specifically Nikon, Zeiss and Essilor) is an asset.
We are open to applicants with different levels of experience, including experienced Optometric Assistants and Student Opticians.
The position will be part-time with potential for full-time hours in the future.
